Clinical Supervision

Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I offer clinical supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists.

My approach to supervision is humanistic, relational and collaborative, with an emphasis on creating a professional relationship in which supervisees feel able to reflect openly on their clinical work.

I see supervision as much more than a professional requirement. It is an opportunity to pause, think, question and deepen our understanding of ourselves and the therapeutic relationships we develop with clients.

I recognise that therapeutic work can be both rewarding and challenging, and that there are times when we may feel uncertain, emotionally affected or unsure how best to proceed.

I aim to offer a supportive yet appropriately challenging supervisory relationship where these experiences can be explored with honesty, curiosity and care.

An important part of my work involves helping supervisees consider their own responses within the therapeutic relationship, including self-awareness, boundaries, ethical dilemmas and the influence of personal and professional experiences on clinical practice.

I value the individuality of each practitioner and recognise that supervision needs to reflect their experience, theoretical orientation, professional responsibilities and stage of development.

While I bring my own experience and perspective to our conversations, I don’t see supervision as simply providing answers. I believe meaningful learning often develops through shared reflection, thoughtful exploration and a willingness to consider different perspectives.

Above all, I hope to offer a supervisory relationship that supports both your professional development and your confidence in your own therapeutic practice.
